Design for Action 2016
October 26, 2016 | Chicago, IL
Now in its third year, Design for Action 2016 is bringing together academics and industry professionals like you with a group of the top behavioral researchers and practitioners in the field, who will help you apply behavioral economics and psychology to policies and products to increase your product or service's adoption, usage, and real-life impact.
Design for Action is an annual conference put on by the Action Design Network, a non-profit of over ten thousand practitioners and researchers around the world interested in exploring the use of behavioral economics and psychology in the design and development of policies and products that help people take action to improve their lives.
From the FitBit to FinTech, from school cafeterias to domestic policy, it’s clear that Behavioral Economics — and behavioral science more broadly — has the potential to help users take action to improve their lives. But the field can often seem complex and overwhelming, creating friction for those seeking to integrate BE into their lives and work. Whether you're new to behavioral design or have been applying it for years, Design for Action is a great opportunity to learn about cutting edge work in the field and how you can be a part of it.

The Venue | Chicago Cultural Center
Drawn by its beauty and the fabulous events, hundreds of thousands of visitors come to the Chicago Cultural Center every year, making it one of the most visited attractions in Chicago. Completed in 1897 as Chicago’s first central public library, the building was designed to impress and to prove that Chicago had grown into a sophisticated metropolis. The country’s top architects and craftsmen used the most sumptuous materials, such as rare imported marbles, polished brass, fine hardwoods, and mosaics of Favrile glass, mother-of-pearl and colored stone, to create an architectural showplace.
